Cut Paper

I wanted to do one that was really complicated, so I decided to have her quilting. It was fun, but that wallpaper in the background was so hard to cut! I actually ended up ripping one of the vines, so thats why I made every 3 stripes plain!

That quilt 'flows' really nicely. What sort of knife do you use to cut these?

just an Xacto knife, you have to make sure to change the blade fairly often though, or else it becomes too dull to do small cuts like the wallpaper very well.

Yes, I'm quite familiar with keeping blades sharp. I make snowflakes with a similar amount of crazy detail. People think I've taken leave of my sanity. Have you ever got that reaction?

These are all absolutely fabulous. What an fun idea! This must have been ridiculously time consuming and tedious, especially the background and the quilt, but it's awesome.
